Responsibilities

  • Partners with underwriting teams to provide insights regarding claims trends and developments.
  • Offers support and counsel in connection with new business opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience with significant experience in management of casualty and property claims, including experience with strategic planning and employee development.
  • Significant casualty expertise is required.
  • Must be results oriented and customer service focused.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the proven ability of partnering with individuals at all levels.
  • Must be able to travel up to 35% of the time.
  • Previous experience working with multi-line claims, with particular focus in Liability, Property and Workers Comp.
  • Ability to clearly articulate vision and objectives.
  • Insurance industry awareness and involvement.

  • Our Alternative Markets Division is looking for a Head of Claims to work out of our downtown Cincinnati, OH office.
  • This person will report to the President of the Alternative Markets Division.
  • The role has primary responsibility for managing the division's claims group.
  • This position will be a Divisional VP or Divisional SVP role, commensurate with experience.
