About the role
- This is an exciting opportunity to join our public affairs team and gain experience working with the leading brands and innovators of the new economy.
- We're looking for a collaborative team member with a strong interest in supporting client service and a desire to learn how to execute integrated communications campaigns.
- Role location: This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- A "team-first" approach with an ability to contribute to client teams and be seen as a trusted contributor.
- Support the development and execution of advocacy campaigns and assist with client communication.
- Develop a foundational understanding of the policy landscape and client industries
- Build introductory relationships with media contacts in national, political, technology and trade outlets across various platforms (print, broadcast, online).
- Assist in drafting client communications materials such as press releases, fact sheets and web content.
- Monitor Congressional hearings and other advocacy events and provide comprehensive analysis for clients.
- Help implement processes for tracking and basic analysis of media coverage (print, broadcast and online).
- Support the team and help to plan client events.
- Be a leader and brand ambassador inside and outside Glen Echo Group.
Skills
- A background and strong interest in public policy issues, particularly as they relate to the internet and technology.
- Excellent writing skills as well as a solid understanding of and experience working with digital platforms and tools.
- The ability to take initiative and work independently in a highly collaborative environment.
- The ability to function at a high level on tight deadlines and with changing priorities and serve as a day-to-day resource.
- $50,000-$60,000 annually.

Compensation
- $50,000-$60,000 annually.
