About the role
- The Controller is responsible for financial management, cost accounting, and overall accounting activities supporting manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage cost accounting and inventory processes, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methodologies.
- Oversee general accounting activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities for manufacturing operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, improve financial processes, and support operational performance.
- This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements while providing financial insight to drive operational performance and decision-making.
- The position partners closely with plant leadership to translate financial data into actionable insights that support efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in general ledger accounting and cost accounting.
- Working knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls (e.g., US GAAP, SOX).
- Experience using ERP systems for financial and operational reporting.
Nice to have
- CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, preferably S/4HANA.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
