- How will you make the difference As a materials handler you will be a key link in our supply chain, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials and components for the production/remanufacturing of railroad equipment.
Responsibilities
- When our people come together, Expand the Possible and continuously look for ways to improve what we create and how we do it.
- You will also work with Quality, Inventory control and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules, resolve Shipping and Receiving issues and support inventory accuracy.

Requirements

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Employees are required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Employees are required to walk, stand, bend and lift throughout the day.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience in materials handling, shipping and receiving or warehouse operations within manufacturing- railroad, aerospace or automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with Oracle or other ERP systems required.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving systems is a plus (FedEx, UPS, XPO, etc.)
- Forklift and pallet jack experience is preferred.
- Preferred: Highschool diploma or GED or associate degree or technical certificate in logistics, supply chain or related field.
Skills
- Strong attention to details, accuracy and time management skills.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
- Receive, inspect and document incoming shipments.
- Perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory records.
- Pull, pack and stage materials and customer orders for shipment.
- Process shipping and receiving labels and documentation for FedEx, UPS, LTL, and freight carriers.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other materials handler equipment.
- Delivering materials to production areas in a timely manner.
- Perform necessary ERP transactions in Oracle.
- Provide production departments with material needed or requested in a timely and organized manner.
- Unloading customer material from Crates, pallets and other shipping containers.
