Responsibilities

  • Drive Innovation & AI Adoption: Identify process improvements and implement best practices, including championing the adoption of AI tools and technologies within the accounting and reporting functions.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Develop and deliver ad-hoc internal reporting deliverables and analyses as requested by leadership.
  • Maintain SOX Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting processes.
  • Audit Support: Facilitate and support internal and external audit requests related to various financial reporting activities.
  • Develop and deliver ad-hoc internal reporting deliverables and analyses as requested by leadership.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • The ideal candidate will have a robust SEC reporting and accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both finance and business stakeholders.
  • Education:
  • CPA license is mandatory.

Nice to have

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or similar tier), with a focus on SEC reporting.
  • Additional industry experience in financial services or broker-dealer environments is a plus but not required.
  • Prior experience working in a corporate accounting or finance role is a plus but not required.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Strong technical research and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex reporting concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus.
