About the role

Assists in performing a variety of technical procedures in the application of high frequency ultrasound waves to patients for diagnostic purposes.
Communicates with patient in a manner that is appropriate for patient understanding. - Obtains vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, height and weight.

Prepares exam room and ultrasound equipment to perform cardiac ultrasound studies in accordance with universal precautions to ensure patient safety per approved protocols, policies and procedures.
Works with more senior sonographer to perform necessary cardiac measurements to generate preliminary findings and image acquisition/storage to support the interpreting physician of the finalized diagnostic report.
Reports all equipment malfunctions and problems to lead sonographer.
Maintains active status in BLS (Basic Life Support).

Associate's degree and 2 years of experience in cardiac imaging or related field or successful completion of accredited cardiac echo sonographer training program required
Working knowledge of cardiology, cardiovascular hemodynamics, doppler physics/instrumentation, cardiac and vascular ultrasound technologies required
RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required and

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job.
Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
