About the role

This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours.
Assistant or Associate Head Coach may be hired based on experience, qualifications of the candidate selected for the position and available positions on the coaching staff at the time of hire.
Assist in recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes to assess their potential for academic and athletic success, providing recommendations to the Head Coach regarding recruitment and roster decisions.

Assist with training, skill-instructing and developing elite student-athletes in the sport of Rowing.
Assist the Head Coach in the design of a competitive schedule to maximize team and individual player development and performance.
Assist in the administration of the Rowing program, including team travel logistics, support staff and business functions, camp administration and budgeting of the Rowing program, as assigned.
Liaison and collaborate with athletics, camps partners and key stake holders to deliver a holistic, well-supported student-athlete experience.
Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.

Bachelor's Degree.
Experience coaching NCAA championship-caliber student-athletes.
Ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
National and international travel is required.
Required Materials
As a Non-Confidential Employee, individuals employed in this position will report incidents of such prohibited conduct to the University's Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Title IX Coordinator as required by applicable law or University policy.

Demonstrated success in recruiting elite student-athletes to participate in the sport of Rowing.
Experience as a student athlete in collegiate athletics.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license.
The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence.
If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
May work in all weather conditions

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. ----
