Responsibilities

  • Acts as a resource to advise and may at times a lead the work of lower-level professional and/or support employees. Generally, represents the department on projects and may perform in a project leadership role.
  • RESTful API design, JSON, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.

Requirements

  • Lead Level Engineer - Requires minimum 8 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • Experience with CIM/XML model-based tools.
  • Power industry experience in grid and market arena preferably with software vendors or ISO/utilities.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and large-scale data processing.
  • Experience with relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and understanding of NoSQL (MongoDB or Cassandra).
  • Requires minimum 5 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • Requires minimum 8 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Required)

Nice to have

  • Adheres to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards and change management processes for all software releases.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves application issues by performing root cause analysis and delivering software solutions.
  • Researches, evaluates, and incorporates new technologies and tools to improve product development and engineering efficiency.
  • Resolves customer issues and responds to enhancement requests.

Skills

  • Git (GitHub/Bitbucket), Maven, and IDEs (IntelliJ, VS Code), Ansible for deployments.
  • Experience with advanced prompt engineering to ensure reliable AI responses
  • Knowledge in processing datasets using Databricks and Airflow
  • Experience with Azure/AWS
  • Senior Level Engineer - Requires minimum 5 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • Salary and level will be based on overall experience as determined by ERCOT.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Required)
  • Master's Degree: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Preferred)
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
  • WORK LOCATION - Taylor, TX:
  • On-site schedules are flexible or may be rotated based on business needs as determined by the Manager
  • Remote work is required to be performed from your Texas residence.

Compensation

  • $145,000 - $200,000

Visa & Work Authorization

  • Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time
