About the role

  • Shipping samples to domestic and international locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sample intake and outgoing procedures which includes screening for physical and digital quality and photographing contents.

Nice to have

  • This position is a mix of our sample preparation and lab assistant roles that will involve labwork, material logistics, and transport.
  • Take care of sample preparation tasks which are required before loading samples into our STEM tools.
  • May include ALD coatings, application of other protective coatings, identifying and marking areas of interest based on a schematic, resizing samples with silicon cleaving tools, and similar tasks.
  • Identify and set aside samples which do not meet lab's submission expectations.
  • Follow fixed procedures and repeat with a wide variety of sample configurations.
  • Customer service.
  • Especially successful, tenured techs in this role may pursue a career in electron microscopy within our group.
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
