Responsibilities

  • The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in the identification of resident needs.
  • Community Feel: Build strong connections with residents, their families, and your colleagues.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.
  • Canadian work experience is not required.
  • Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
  • Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
  • Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
  • Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents. Must understand the basics of good sanitation and cleaning techniques and be knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents.

Compensation

  • $26.00 - $27.50 per hour
  • Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
