About the role
- Additionally, the role involves supporting real-time control room operations, troubleshooting flight system anomalies, managing DATR configurations, and serving as project liaison for Range engineering.
- This is a full-time, onsite position at NASA Armstrong located on Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
- The salary range is $76K to $118K based on skill level and experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science
- Or, a Master's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science with at least 1 year of experience in the Telemetry and Data Collection field of expertise.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in specialty field with 7 total years general professional experience in the Telemetry and Data Collection field of expertise.
- Function as a higher-level role with the ability to guide less experienced personnel.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- May be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Candidates must be US citizens or Permanent Residents

- Mission Control System (MCS)
- Interactive Analysis and Display System (IADS)
- Flight Data Archive (FDA)
- ARMD Test Data Portal (ATDP)
- Familiar with using Flight Data Studio (FLIDAS) to troubleshoot data anomalies.
- Understanding of telemetry standards (IRIG 106 Chapter 7 & 10) and high-resolution time synchronization.
- Familiar with systems engineering and software development lifecycles.
- Proficiency in programming logic, with practical knowledge of tools such as (Python, Matlab, C++)
- Linux Systems Experience
- Understanding of Aircraft buses/instrumentation
- Version Control/Configuration Management (Git, Azure, etc)
