About the role

  • Additionally, the role involves supporting real-time control room operations, troubleshooting flight system anomalies, managing DATR configurations, and serving as project liaison for Range engineering.
  • This is a full-time, onsite position at NASA Armstrong located on Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
  • The salary range is $76K to $118K based on skill level and experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science
  • Or, a Master's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science with at least 1 year of experience in the Telemetry and Data Collection field of expertise.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in specialty field with 7 total years general professional experience in the Telemetry and Data Collection field of expertise.
  • Function as a higher-level role with the ability to guide less experienced personnel.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • May be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Candidates must be US citizens or Permanent Residents

  • Interactive Analysis and Display System (IADS)
  • Flight Data Archive (FDA)
  • ARMD Test Data Portal (ATDP)
  • Familiar with using Flight Data Studio (FLIDAS) to troubleshoot data anomalies.
  • Understanding of telemetry standards (IRIG 106 Chapter 7 & 10) and high-resolution time synchronization.
  • Familiar with systems engineering and software development lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in programming logic, with practical knowledge of tools such as (Python, Matlab, C++)
  • Linux Systems Experience
  • Understanding of Aircraft buses/instrumentation
  • Version Control/Configuration Management (Git, Azure, etc)
