About the role

- This includes new substations and switchyards, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform tasks that typically include: Technical execution of complex protection and control project assignments applied to both brownfield and greenfield for Power Networks projects for various clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, drafters, civil/structural engineers, and field personnel.
- Perform independent audits and reviews of technical work.
- Perform proposal preparation, proposal estimates, and provide input to scope documents and client presentations.
- Perform the function of a team leader that can solve complex issues and act as a lead engineer responsible for the quality of the deliverables.
- Ability to travel to job sites to perform site walkdown.
- Responsible for the quality assurance of the documents to the applicable drawing standards and responsible for the proper document management procedures are followed.
- Design and implement advanced protection and control schemes for power systems.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8 or more years of protection and controls experience.
- Preparation of engineering drawings and documents, calculations, and other miscellaneous deliverables as required.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is preferred.
Skills
- Extensive experience in protection and control engineering for 69kV and above switchyards and substations.
- Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
- Has a competent understanding of regulations, electrical codes, manufacturing standards and industry standard practices.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, organized, and be able to work independently.
