About the role

  • We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Programs and Member Services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Indigenous Entrepreneurship Program (IEP) initiatives.
  • Oversee training and capacity-building programs, including mentorship and workforce development.
  • Manage program budgets, financial reporting, and compliance with funding agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IFIs, government partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor program performance using data, KPIs, and evaluation frameworks to drive impact.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, events, and partnerships.
  • This role is responsible for leading the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of programs that support Indigenous Financial Institutions (IFIs) and their clients.
  • This is a key leadership position that works closely with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen programs and drive meaningful outcomes for Indigenous communities.
  • Scheduling to support work-life balance.
  • The Director will oversee program strategy, budgeting, and performance while ensuring high-quality training, capacity-building initiatives, and measurable impact across the network.

Requirements

  • This position requires a minimum University Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in program management, partnership development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of regulations and compliance issues relevant to partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous entrepreneurship and community development.
  • Ability to negotiate sound agreements and partnerships effectively.

  • Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing programmatic initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of bureaucratic processes and organizational dynamics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for engaging stakeholders and presenting ideas.

Nice to have

  • A Master's Degree is preferred in Business Administration or relevant advanced degree.
  • Prior experience working with Indigenous communities and/or organization is preferred.
