About the role

  • Flight Operations Mechanic Company: Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has a number of openings for Flight Operation Mechanics to join our dynamic Weapons Team in St.
  • Flight encompasses all of the duties of the following job classifications: Inspector Aircraft, Mechanic Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanic Flight.
  • Install, repair, and replace tanks, power plants, generators, and aircraft engines. • Install or replace reservoirs, etc. and repair leaks in same.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational checkout of aircraft prior to and during preflight.
  • Maintain aircraft historical records.
  • Perform activities prior to flight status and final inspection and daily maintenance of completed experimental aircraft or major modification to experimental aircraft.
  • Inspect and/or perform bench and flight line operational checkout and inspect, troubleshooting, adjustment and repair of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Perform aircraft and/or spacecraft bench or flight line operational checkout, trouble-shooting, adjustment and repair of any electrical or electronic system.
  • Fabricate, adjust, trouble shoot, repair and modify electronic test equipment. Perform operational checkout of hydraulic systems and mechanical systems.
  • Perform engine buildup as assigned. Install, repair, and replace tanks, power plants, generators, and aircraft engines.
  • Perform crash crew duties as directed.
  • Modify aircraft components or aircraft support equipment.
  • Perform composite repairs.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with electrical assembly
  • 3+ years of experience with weapons and missile systems
  • 3+ years of experience with reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • An Interim U.S secret clearance Prestart and final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work any shift assigned
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience avionics system repair testing and troubleshooting on military platforms

Compensation

  • $28.00/hourly - $52.11/hourly
  • Summary pay range: $28.00/hourly - $52.11/hourly
