Responsibilities
- Lead and develop multiple accounting teams responsible for revenue, accounts payable, and commodity accounting operations.
- Drive the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing optimization of modern accounting technologies and ERP systems.
- Own and enhance key financial transactional systems in collaboration with Technology to support growth, M&A, and evolving accounting standards.
- Partner with Treasury and FP&A to support cash forecasting and serve as Cash Manager backup when needed.
- Support regulatory and rate‑related initiatives, including collaboration with internal rate support teams and external FERC counsel.
- Proven experience leading teams and developing high‑performing people leaders.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and influence at senior levels.
- Sound judgment, strong decision‑making skills, and the ability to lead through change.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred).
- Extensive hands‑on experience with large‑scale ERP systems and financial software.
Skills
- Strategic leadership with the ability to balance operational execution and long‑term transformation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly.
- Demonstrated success in modernizing manual or legacy accounting processes.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to thrive in deadline‑driven environments.
- CPA certification and oil & gas industry experience are preferred.
Compensation
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to a two‑day month‑end close.
