About the role

  • The Maintenance Planner is responsible for driving maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability through detailed work planning, scheduling coordination, CMMS data integrity, and spare parts readiness.
  • This role ensures maintenance work is properly scoped, estimated, kitted, and scheduled to maximize technician productivity and minimize equipment downtime.
  • The Planner works cross-functionally with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure safe, compliant, and well-executed maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prioritize work requests and develop job plans including labor, tools, safety requirements, and materials.
  • Build and maintain weekly maintenance schedules and track key metrics such as PM compliance and planned vs. reactive work.
  • Maintain accurate CMMS data including work orders, asset records, maintenance history, and PM programs.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring equipment issues and support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with at least 2 years in maintenance planning using a CMMS system (SAP, Maximo, eMaint, etc.).

Compensation

  • $75k-$120k
