About the role

As our new Technical Editor, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.
You'll also need to be highly collaborative in your work and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, across various provinces, countries, and time zones.

Format large, complex documents using MS Word and Excel, and publish complete reports using Adobe Acrobat, including inserting graphics and tables into a final.pdf document.
Work together with the Documentation Lead to ensure consistency and timely production and delivery of reports.

Success in this role will require very strong proofreading and writing skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in English or journalism, and/or a combination of formal training and 5 or more years of experience in a similar role will be considered.
Superior written communication skills - a sample of your previous work and/or skill testing may be required.
Strong proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat.

Ideally, at least one year of experience as a technical or grammatical editor within STEM fields. Legal editing experience is also an asset. Co-op experience will be considered.

Willingness and ability to obtain Federal Security Clearance in Canada

The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
