About the role
- The Occupational Therapist will work across multiple (2-4) Rocketship school sites under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Occupational Therapy.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally climb ladders.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.

- Rocketship's occupational therapists are responsible for providing both direct and indirect support to students, families, and staff members in order to ensure high-quality programming for students, particularly those with disabilities.
- This role is expected to work 2 days a week (16 hours) and support our two campuses in Concord and Antioch, CA.
- maintain records, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, other school personnel, meet schedule and compliance deadlines.

Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver's license: willingness to provide own transportation in conduct of work assignments as you will be required to travel from site to site to work with students and faculty at all sites

- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and communicate with both adults and children.
- The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is frequently required to stand
- willingness to provide own transportation in conduct of work assignments as you will be required to travel from site to site to work with students and faculty at all sites
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited four year college or university and have a valid license of proficiency in occupational therapy services issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities (learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, autism, etc.)
