About the role
- Tasks will include planning and implementing preventive maintenance measures, responding to equipment faults, diagnosing breakdown problems, handling maintenance repair projects, leading mechanical integrity program
- Leading the onsite Mechanical Integrity program.
- This position is supported by two electrical engineers who will largely be responsible for assisting the I&E technicians.
Responsibilities
- Identify and lead asset reliability risks that could affect plant operations.
- Develop and implement a robust asset care strategy, fully using the functionality of SAP PM
- Perform routine equipment troubleshooting as needed in support of daily operations and team of 8 technicians with varying abilities in mechanical and instrumentation & electrical fields.
- Provide technical support to team members and other departments (Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Stores, Lab, General Facilities, etc.)
- Initiate improvement projects, advise regarding need for capital investment in coordination with company goals. Lead approved capital improvement projects up to approximately 2 million dollars.
- Support failure analysis processes through participation as needed to assess failure and implementation of corrective actions, lead investigations as determined by failure type
- Implement and run maintenance management systems

- Experience / skills required:
Skills
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, (preferably in engineering, reliability, maintenance, or relevant field)
- 20+ years experience in maintenance associated field, supervisor, planner, reliability, engineering or similar role
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with reliability analysis, predictive maintenance, asset performance management
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of general maintenance procedures
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Must be great teammate and excellent communicator
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
Compensation
- Develop stretching annual site Capital and maintenance plans and prepare and present the budget submissions.
- Lead and be accountable for the delivery of the annual maintenance budget, and minor capital projects budget.
