About the role

  • We invite you to join the Hexcel team at various manufacturing sites, sales offices and R&D centers around the globe.
  • This is a full-time, onsite position working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs that assist manufacturing in consistent quality improvement effort. Participate in design reviews, develop part inspection plans, and drive overall product quality improvement.
  • Support Quality Management System audits.
  • Support intra-company, cross-functional audits, as needed.
  • Perform supplier audits, when needed, and assist in flow-down of requirements and quality system to suppliers.
  • Manage supplier quality claims and related documentation.
  • Support supplier evaluation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to drive supplier quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Review specifications, both customer and internal. Analyze technical requirements of contracts, drawings and specifications to develop plans for product quality. Create and maintain quality documentation when required by customer or internal system.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university required. A four-year degree in the field of Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related degree preferred. Previous experience in a technical capacity is highly preferred. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in aerospace, composites, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Experience with composite materials and lean manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience with corrective action systems, internal audits, and supplier quality activities. Experience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies preferred).

Compensation

  • $68,439 - $117, 324 annual salary
