  • The Mechanic 1 is responsible for trouble shooting mechanical systems, up-grading mechanical devices and equipment, maintain and support air pollution equipment as well as general plant and facilities maintenance and modernization.
  • Be familiar with systems such as HVAC, pumps, boilers, gearboxes, buildings, and other drive systems
  • Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice to have

  • Technical school certificate preferred

Skills

  • Training and experience in the mechanical craft
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving history report
  • Ability to meet license requirements for Powered Industrial Trucks (Lift trucks, JLG's, Scissor Lift's)
  • Basic Ladder Logic/schematic blueprint reading
  • Skill in basic electrical (de-energized) procedures preferred
  • Welding Fabrication experience with mig & arc required
  • Tig, aluminum and stainless preferred
  • Machinist Skills - Lathe, Milling preferred
  • Cutting skills using oxyacetylene and plasma torches preferred
  • Train others of lesser skill level
