About the role

  • Job Info Position - Union: Distribution Operator ECC Number of Positions: 1 Location: NY-Binghamton ECC Hourly Rate: $51.20 - $57.54 Responsibilities 1.
  • Typical maintenance and repairs to assure continuity of service in cooperation with Section Operators and Division operating personnel.
  • Issues switching orders for de-energizing, grounding, tagging and re-energizing distribution facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates/ creates switching for the outage of distribution lines and equipment for testing, Under directive supervision coordinates/operates the electric distribution facilities and dispatches electric and gas outage and trouble notifications.
  • Oversees overall distribution switching operations in a lead role when assigned.
  • BA in Electrical Engineering / AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology or a passing score on a test designed by the Company or a provider approved by the Company.

  • Successful completion of Company administered aptitude test.
