About the role
- In this role, you will combine deep, hands-on engineering expertise with system-level technical leadership to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components, delivering reliable and efficient system performance.

Responsibilities
- Define and drive firmware integration, verification, and validation strategies, including automated testing, regression testing, and continuous integration.
- Develop and improve engineering tools and automation using Python and other appropriate technologies for development, debugging, testing, analysis, and validation.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, QA, and product managers to bring high-quality products to market.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or advanced degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Typically, 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware, embedded software, systems software, platform engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Deep proficiency in embedded C with strong software architecture, systems programming, and computer engineering fundamentals.
- Strong experience with Python for automation, tooling, testing, data analysis, or system diagnostics.
- or equivalent practical experience and demonstrated technical expertise.
- Experience with BIOS/UEFI, EFI applications and drivers, RTOS environments, embedded controllers, DSPs, device firmware, or similar platform technologies.
- Strong understanding of firmware and platform security, including firmware authentication/signing, secure updates, hardware security capabilities, and vulnerability management.

Compensation
- The pay range for this role is $147,050 to $230,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
