About the role
- As a ROCK Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing assessment and treatment services to children, youth, and families.
- Additionally, you will contribute to program development, supervise students, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold client safety standards.
- This is a 12 -18 month contract position to cover an existing vacancy during a maternity leave.
Responsibilities
- In this permanent full-time role (35 hours per week), you will report to the Clinical Manager and will coordinate cases, advocate for clients, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to apply relevant knowledge and training to the assessment and treatment of children and their families.
- The ability to speak a second language is highly valued.
- A relevant master's degree from a recognized university.
- Registration with an accrediting professional body is required (i.e. College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Psychologists of Ontario, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
Nice to have
- Proficient in the use of technology as required of the position, including working in a virtual environment with MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.
Skills
- practice or training in one or more of the following skill areas:
- CBT, and/or trauma assessment skills.
- Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
