About the role

Responsibilities
- Represent clients with the support of a mentor in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
- Provide legal advice and support to clients throughout the legal process.
- Collaborate with paralegals and other legal staff to ensure efficient case management.
- The Law Clerk will participate in our mentorship program and enroll in our Cordell College program as they build their expertise practicing family law.
Requirements
- Expected Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Will be sitting for the Michigan bar exam.
- Able to obtain a license to practice law in the state of Virginia
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Enthusiastic about practicing family law and domestic litigation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients.
- Compensation considers total years of practice in law and complexity of family law experience. Incentives may also be included in total compensation.
- Base Pay Range
- $35 - $35 USD
