About the role

  • College of Sciences is consistently looking for adjunct faculty to teach in all areas of the college, including film, communication, advertising, and public relations.
  • The demand for adjunct teaching roles fluctuates throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Use technology, online platforms, tools, and software to support instruction.
  • You'll be met with opportunities to connect and collaborate with talented faculty, staff, and students across 12 colleges and multiple campuses, engaging in impactful work that makes a positive difference.

Requirements

  • An earned master's degree (undergraduate level teaching) or doctorate degree (graduate level teaching) from an accredited institution in the subject area to be taught or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Pursuant to Florida State Statute 1010.35, prior to offering employment to certain individuals in research-related positions, UCF is required to conduct additional screening.
  • With more than 70,000 students, UCF is one of the largest universities in the country, offering more than 240 degree programs.

  • A highly qualified individual will have strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

  • Adjunct faculty are employed on a semester-by-semester basis, and payment ranges are determined by the unit's adjunct compensation model.
