Responsibilities
- Notify the Logistics Lead, Supervisor, Materials, or Quality teams of abnormal parts, defective units, equipment issues, or process concerns.
- Employees are also generally expected to work two Saturdays per month to support operational needs.
- Load and unload material components in support of daily plant operations.
- Maintain 5S standards, housekeeping activities, tool and gage protection, and proper part stockage within work areas.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs), forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively to support production and logistics operations.
- Support line replenishment, shipping, receiving, and overall material flow processes.
- Be available to support production schedules before startup and after assembly operations end as needed.
- The Operator II - Material Handler is responsible for ensuring materials are supplied where needed on the production floor to maintain an uninterrupted flow of operations.
Requirements
- PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) certification or the ability to obtain certification.
