About the role
- Veryable is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer specializing in Backend technologies to join our Product Engineering team.
- Please note that Veryable will not be able to sponsor U.S. work authorization for this position.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
Responsibilities
- Build robust services and APIs to power existing and new features for our web and mobile apps.
- 3+ years of professional experience building frontend web applications using React, HTML and CSS Experience mentoring junior developers.
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to take on complex problems, break them down, and drive optimal solutions.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or other backend engineering frameworks.
- Proficiency in database design and SQL, with 4+ years of industry experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
- Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Nice to have
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring on AWS, GCP, or Azure platforms.
- Implementation and management of message brokers like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS for asynchronous processing and inter-service communication.
- Understanding of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) Proven ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems, including experience with profiling tools and load testing.
