About the role

  • External finance leadership - fundraising, debt financing, investor strategy, board narrative, and capital structure.
  • Internal finance infrastructure - FP&A, cash planning, accounting foundation, reporting cadence, controls, and operating discipline.

Responsibilities

  • A proven builder who has created finance functions from scratch with your own hands, without a large team or mature systems.
  • You understand the economics of a hardware-enabled business - installs, logistics, support burden.
  • Own the operating model end to end.
  • Build the drivers, scenario logic, and planning cadence.
  • Co-lead the raise.
  • Design the forward narrative, metrics, and capital structure for the Series C and beyond to IPO.
  • Own the financial foundation.
  • Treat our financial infra as a product that you own.
  • Build systems that drive clarity, velocity, and effiency.
  • Build like an operator.

Requirements

  • You are a hands-on startup VP or CFO-caliber finance leader who has operated in high-growth, venture-backed environments.
  • You are likely to be a strong fit if you are a:
  • Capital Markets Athlete: You have led or materially co-led fundraising with founders and executives.
  • your math ties out and you can defend every claim line by line
  • You have led or materially co-led fundraising with founders and executives.

Nice to have

  • Complex hardware experience.
  • Investment banking or VC experience.
