Responsibilities
- Lead the HPE Operations Compliance & Controls function, establishing priorities that support business objectives and HPE Operations strategic imperatives.
- Partner with OLAA and other enterprise compliance organizations to translate evolving requirements into practical, scalable operational solutions.
- Drive simplification and modernization of compliance-related processes, reducing friction while maintaining appropriate controls and risk management.
- Lead programs supporting enterprise risk management, business continuity, operational controls, audit readiness, and policy adherence.
- Partner with Operations leaders to strengthen organizational resiliency and preparedness for business disruptions.
- Drive a proactive approach to risk management, enabling teams to anticipate issues before they become business or customer impacts.
- Build trusted relationships across HPE Operations and key corporate partners to drive alignment and execution.
- Help build an AI-ready Compliance & Controls organization that embraces innovation while maintaining appropriate safeguards and accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement through data, automation, and modern operational practices.
- Build organizational capabilities to meet evolving business, regulatory, and operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong understanding of, or demonstrated aptitude for, compliance, audit, controls, business continuity, and risk management disciplines.
- Education
- Experience
- 15+ years of leadership experience in operations, compliance, controls, risk management, audit, business continuity, legal, or related disciplines.
- Strong preference for candidates with prior Director-level experience leading managers and experienced professionals in a global organization.
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than direct authority.
- Experience partnering with senior executives and driving outcomes across matrixed organizations.
- HPE Operations experience (Services, Supply Chain, Quote-to-Cash, Customer Operations, or Business Operations) strongly preferred.
- Knowledge & Skills
- Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for understanding evolving regulations, emerging risks, and their operational implications.

- Ensure HPE Operations remains informed, prepared, and positioned to respond effectively to emerging regulations, policy changes, audit requirements, and customer expectations.
- Champion a proactive culture of readiness, helping teams anticipate and prepare for regulatory and business changes before they become operational challenges.
- Ensure effective mechanisms exist to identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and escalate compliance and operational risks.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on compliance, risk, controls, and resilience matters.
- Influence decisions across a matrixed environment, balancing business objectives with compliance obligations.
- Champion a culture where compliance and controls are viewed as business enablers that accelerate trust, speed, and customer outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to simplify compliance processes, improve user experiences, increase effectiveness, and reduce operational overhead.
- Advanced degree preferred.

- USD 143,500 - 347,500 in Texas

- The Director of Compliance & Controls is a senior leader within HPE Operations responsible for helping the organization deliver on its commitments to customers, business units, while maintaining the trust, compliance, and resilience required to operate on a global scale.
- Reporting to the VP of HPE Operations Business Operations, this leader will partner across HPE Operations and with HPE's enterprise compliance organizations to ensure the organization is prepared for evolving regulatory requirements, maintains a strong controls environment, and proactively identifies and mitigates operational risk.
