About the role

  • NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst to work with us supporting our DHS customer in Washington, DC.
  • This position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of procurement actions in accordance with federal acquisition regulations.

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst provides strategic and operational procurement support for the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program.
  • The Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of contract requirements in support of the mission.
  • Lead procurement planning activities, including development of Statements of Work (SOW), IGCEs, and acquisition strategies.
  • Coordinate with contracting officers and program stakeholders to support timely and effective contract awards.
  • Monitor procurement milestones and maintain acquisition tracking systems.
  • Support subcontractor sourcing, evaluation, and performance oversight.
  • Create an environment where people can engage at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in acquisition, supply chain management, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the following:
  • Experience with DHS or DoD acquisition environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • In-depth understanding of federal procurement regulations and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex procurement actions under tight timelines.
  • Positive adjudication from a CBP Background Investigation.
  • Position requires some travel.

Nice to have

  • Master's preferred
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
