  • The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force's Space Systems Center (SSC).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Development of Satellite Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for spacecraft, ground systems, payloads, and cross system interfaces in a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment
  • Develop interface diagrams, data dictionaries, message formats, command and telemetry mappings, and system level interface descriptions
  • Identify interface risks and drive technical issue resolution across engineering teams.
  • Support system integration and test activities by providing authoritative interface documentation and clarification
  • Manage and coordinate Interface Control Working Groups (ICWGs), ensuring consistent communication across all stakeholders
  • Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force
  • Develop acquisition and technical requirements-related briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation in support of Govt decision making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering
  • 8+ years of experience working on DoD programs
  • 5+ years of experience developing architecture models
  • 5+ years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems and flight hardware (e.g., avionics, payloads, RF comms, power, GNC, thermal, propulsion)
  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools such as Cameo, DOORS, MATLAB
  • Proficiency in modeling languages such as SysML, UPDM, DoDAF
  • AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE WITH SCI IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Direct experience developing or managing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex systems
  • Ability to read and create schematics, interface diagrams, and data communication structures
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a small technical team
  • Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders

Compensation

  • $135,000 - $169,000 USD
