Ensure Training Officers maintain current instructor certifications and qualifications.
Serve as the primary liaison between the Training Department and facility department heads to ensure training supports operational needs and compliance requirements.
Develop, implement, and continuously update a comprehensive facility training program in compliance with NDS 2025, PWS requirements, and Acuity policies.
Manage training equipment, classrooms, supplies, and instructional resources.

Maintain training schedules aligned with operational staffing requirements and

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in training and instructional leadership, preferably in detention, corrections, law enforcement, or similar regulated environments.
Strong working knowledge of National Detention Standards and federal compliance requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and credentials required for access to detention facilities.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, resided in the U.S. for 3 years in the past 5 years.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must complete all required training.
Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.

Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant languages) preferred.
CPR/First Aid Instructor certification.
Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher
has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months.
Detention center experience.
Ability to travel.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
Work is performed in a secure detention facility.

Pre-service and annual refresher training
Ensure adequate staffing coverage for onboarding, annual training cycles, and emergent training needs.
