Responsibilities
- Ensure Training Officers maintain current instructor certifications and qualifications.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Training Department and facility department heads to ensure training supports operational needs and compliance requirements.
- Develop, implement, and continuously update a comprehensive facility training program in compliance with NDS 2025, PWS requirements, and Acuity policies.
- Manage training equipment, classrooms, supplies, and instructional resources.

Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in training and instructional leadership, preferably in detention, corrections, law enforcement, or similar regulated environments.
- Strong working knowledge of National Detention Standards and federal compliance requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and credentials required for access to detention facilities.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, resided in the U.S. for 3 years in the past 5 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must complete all required training.
- Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
Nice to have
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant languages) preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Instructor certification.
- Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher
- has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months.
- Detention center experience.
- Ability to travel.
- Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Work is performed in a secure detention facility.
Compensation
- Pre-service and annual refresher training
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage for onboarding, annual training cycles, and emergent training needs.
