Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with corporate objectives and key value inflection points.
- Closely collaborate with Senior Director, Corporate Communications to shape and refine Cytokinetics' narrative to ensure clarity, differentiation, and consistency across all investor and other communications.
- Partner cross-functionally to anticipate and communicate major milestones, including clinical, regulatory, and commercial developments.
- Lead engagement with buy-side and sell-side analysts, institutional investors, and key stakeholders. Build and cultivate strong relationships with current and potential new investors
- Develop and draft briefing materials, Q&A documents, key messaging, and investor presentations.
- Collaborate with Finance to monitor analyst models, reports, and shareholder base trends

- Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance with disclosure regulations and best practices.

Requirements
- Significant investor relations experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required, preferably in a publicly traded, commercial-stage company.
- Strong understanding of financial and investor markets, accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of drug development, regulatory pathways, clinical data interpretation, and commercial dynamics in biotech/pharma.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific and financial information into compelling narratives.
- Proven ability to operate strategically while also executing tactically and independently.
- Results-oriented with proven track record for meeting or exceeding goals
- Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Communications; and/or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or related capital markets roles.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and discretion
- High executive presence, sound judgment, and discretion.
- Willingness to travel

Compensation
- In the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $269,100-$313,950 per year.
- The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
