About the role
- THE HIRING COMPANY: Park Restaurant and Bar is an upscale restaurant on the south side of Columbia at Discovery Parkway.
- Park Restaurant & Bar is the place for folks who love local flavors and ingredients.
- Our small plate menu will entice you to enjoy old favorites and explore new seasonal items alongside friends and family.
Responsibilities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu and specials with the ability to recommend and upsell items to each guest.
- Perform cleaning duties during shift to ensure cleanliness of the restaurant.
Requirements
- MUST BE: 21 years of age
- 1+ year of experience as a server at a casual dining or fine dining restaurant
- Take drink and food orders, serve food or beverages to guests, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
- Able to diffuse and problem solve guests issues
- Outgoing, extroverted personality!
- Positive attitude!
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and containers weighing up to 25 pounds
Compensation
- Guaranteed $28+/hour.
