About the role

The Registered Dietitian (RD) is responsible for designing and implementing the nutrition services program working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team (IDT).

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to integrate nutrition care into overall participant care plans and ensure coordinated care delivery.
Deliver and document direct care nutrition interventions in accordance with primary care provider orders (e.g. provision of nutritional supplements) and/or as agreed upon in the participants' care plans, including but not limited to implementing and monitoring special diets, and providing nutrition counseling to participants and families.
Collaborates with nutrition services staff and Center Director to conduct monthly and quarterly sanitation, safety and foodservice audits.

Baccalaureate or advanced degree from an accredited college with major studies in food and nutrition or related field.
Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) as confirmed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Minimum of 1 year's experience working with a frail or elderly population.
Three (3) years of experience working as a Registered Dietician in geriatric or managed care setting.
Ability to translate best practices into culturally appropriate resources and work effectively with diverse populations.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / First Aid Certification required
Baccalaureate or advanced degree from an accredited college with major studies in food and nutrition or related field. Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) as confirmed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.
