About the role
- Assisting machinists and other skilled workers with their tasks to enhance productivity.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, which includes sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
- Transporting materials and tools to and from the work area as needed.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal (steel, aluminum, etc.) to build enclosures, and other components.
- Fabrication & Installation: Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal (steel, aluminum, etc.) to build enclosures, and other components.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, basic math for measurements, and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with laser cutting machines, safety procedures, and precision work.
- Physical Ability: Strength to lift 50 pounds and handle materials; good hand-eye coordination.
- Tools & Equipment: Hand tools, power tools, laser cutters, welding equipment, measuring devices.
