About the role

This role is ideal for early‑career technologists who have foundational cloud knowledge and are eager to grow into a full cloud engineering or cloud architecture role.
Solid understanding and skill with DevOps, web services and application programming interfaces (APIs).
Cloud security and compliance experience.

1-3 years Experience with Tooling and Automation to enable seamless automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
Foundational institutional knowledge of State of Michigan platforms, cloud architecture, security requirements and processes.
Highly Desirable Core Competencies Ability to learn and apply cloud engineering concepts quickly.

Containerization, Linux, Database skills, security and recovery, web services and applications programming interfaces (APIs).
Help maintain and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure components.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools.
Participate in integrating cloud pipelines with existing DevOps systems.
Document architecture decisions, pipeline configurations, and deployment procedures.
Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and training activities.
Assist in implementing secure configurations and monitoring controls.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cloud requirements.
Participate in discussions with vendors, product specialists, and internal teams to evaluate technologies.
