About the role
- UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company.
- Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of critical electrical construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- This role involves managing complex electrical systems, daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Manage daily site operations, including supervising subcontractors and construction crews.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including work progress, safety incidents, and deliveries.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
- May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
- Climb ladders, stairs, or elevated surfaces as required by the job.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring frequent movement and manual labor.

Nice to have
- High School Diploma/GED
- bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in electrical systems supervision or construction drawing design for wafer fabrication facilities.
- Semiconductor facility experience is a plus
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices, concerning Electrical scope.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to work ina construction site environment (trailer office).
- Interaction with powered industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles.
