About the role

  • UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company.
  • Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of critical electrical construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • This role involves managing complex electrical systems, daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
  • Manage daily site operations, including supervising subcontractors and construction crews.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including work progress, safety incidents, and deliveries.

Requirements

  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
  • May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, or elevated surfaces as required by the job.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring frequent movement and manual labor.

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in electrical systems supervision or construction drawing design for wafer fabrication facilities.
  • Semiconductor facility experience is a plus

Skills

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices, concerning Electrical scope.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work ina construction site environment (trailer office).
  • Interaction with powered industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles.
