About the role
- Location: This position may be performed remotely, but requires the flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
- The Associate Director, Medical Affairs Operations & Strategy is a key strategic and operational leader within Medical Affairs, responsible for enabling the successful execution of Medical Affairs priorities across therapeutic area leadership, field medical, publications, and scientific communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop business reviews, leadership presentations, dashboards, operational metrics, and reporting that support decision-making and organizational visibility.
- Develop and continuously improve processes, governance, operating models, and performance metrics that increase efficiency, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships across a complex matrixed organization to foster collaboration, alignment, and effective execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare organizations.
- Significant experience supporting Medical Affairs, business operations, strategic planning, or related functions.
- Field Medical, neuroscience, rare disease, or growth-stage biotech experience is preferred.
- The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices, or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement. - Experience supporting senior leaders and influencing across functions.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets, and external partnerships.
