Responsibilities
- The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the property by proactively identifying risks, enforcing safety and security policies, responding to incidents, and providing support to guests and team members.

- Maintain fixed posts or conduct mobile patrols as assigned to monitor activity and prevent theft, vandalism, or unsafe behavior.
- Perform crowd control and scene management during incidents, events, or emergencies.
- Maintain a professional, calm, and courteous demeanor at all times, regardless of external pressures.
Requirements
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, security software, reporting tools, and mobile devices.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
- Ability to sit, kneel, bend, crouch, and climb stairs as required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and physically demanding situations.
- Monitor employee and vendor access, report unauthorized access, and log vendors and visitors as required.
- Assist with emergency evacuations and life safety procedures as required.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
Nice to have

Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in security, loss prevention, military, or law enforcement preferred.
- Luxury hotel or resort experience strongly preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (or ability to obtain).
- Alcohol Awareness certification required (or ability to obtain).
- Any required state or local security licenses must be obtained and maintained.
- Must successfully complete company-required security training and annual assessments.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate situations calmly and professionally.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
Compensation
- Must successfully complete company-required security training and annual assessments.

- Maintain knowledge of the location and condition of emergency equipment and medical kits; report deficiencies promptly.
