- We have an exciting opportunity for a Municipal/Civil Engineer to join our Municipal Department in our Halifax, Nova Scotia office!

Responsibilities
- Uphold Excellence: Prepare and review contract documents, applying sound technical judgment and quality control practices to maintain CBCL's high standards;
- Help Shape the Future of Municipal Infrastructure: Contribute to the design and planning of infrastructure projects for cities, towns, provincial/federal governments, industrial sites and developers;
- Contribute and Collaborate: Contribute to project development and delivery through engineering calculations, design concepts, technical analysis, and coordination with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective, practical solutions;
- Drive Project Success: Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, design drawings, cost estimates, proposals, and tender documents.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of tools, workflows, and design standards that support project efficiency and outcomes; and
- Contribute to broader Municipal Group initiatives and identify opportunities to improve how we deliver services to our clients.
- Technical/Design Expertise: Experience contributing to the design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects, with working knowledge of Atlantic Canadian regulations and municipal standards;
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment; and
- Support to develop skills and pursue projects related to your own interests;
Requirements
- As our ideal candidate, you bring 5+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure and are ready to take ownership of design assignments, project coordination, and technical delivery.
- You have hands-on experience with projects related to water transmission, distribution, pumping and storage
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required, with a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with Engineers Nova Scotia;
- 5+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure design and project delivery, preferably within a consulting engineering environment;
- Ability to liaise professionally with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal project teams;
