About the role
- The Senior Solutions Engineer (SE) within the State, Local Government, and Higher Education (SLED) vertical at F5 plays a critical role at the intersection of sales and technology.
- Core focus areas include application delivery, data and network security, and ensuring high availability across modern, distributed environments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical sales activities including presentations, solution design, demos, and POCs
- Partner with account teams to drive deals by engaging technical decision-makers
- Act as a trusted advisor to validate requirements and guide solution adoption
- Collaborate across teams to share expertise and support strategic opportunities
- Lead design and positioning of F5 Distributed Cloud solutions for secure, cloud-native architectures
- Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Requirements
- This role requires strong technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to clearly articulate solutions both conceptually and visually to technical and executive audiences.
- Experience in F5 Products, including BIG-IP, NGINX, and Distributed Cloud Services
- Advanced knowledge of application delivery controllers and TCP/IP networking
Nice to have
- 5+ years of related industry experience
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity/experience with F5 or similar industry solution deployment is a plus
- Experience and backgrounds in security, network, and/or infrastructure engineering
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required
Compensation
- $144,000.00 - $216,000.00
- F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business.
