About the role

  • As one of our first finance hires, you'll sit at the center of our most critical decisions - owning planning, stress-testing bets, and partnering directly with our co-founders and leadership team to allocate capital against our biggest opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • We're building a future where customer experiences are being redefined from support tickets and hold music to faster resolutions, richer conversations, and deeper relationships.
  • Partner cross-functionally with executives across key functions to ideate, support, and drive strategic initiatives
  • Drive accountability across the business by defining financial and operational KPIs, building dashboards, and identifying the right levers to accelerate growth and efficiency
  • Monitor key performance indicators, financial metrics, and cash flow; deliver timely reporting packages and insights on key business trends
  • Build and maintain complex financial models for long-range planning, unit economics, business cases, and investment evaluation
  • Own materials for our Board meetings and serve as a key partner on future fundraising processes
  • Develop and build a scalable finance function that can support Decagon's hyper-growth

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or a closely related role at a high-growth technology company
  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to distill complexity into structured frameworks and actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority - you can get alignment across teams who don't report to you
  • Experience working in B2B SaaS with familiarity with ARR-based business metrics
  • Familiarity with Accounting ERPs and financial planning tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related business field

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel
  • experience with SQL or BI tools a strong plus

  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting to leadership
