  • What Your Impact Is As a Managing Technical Consultant, Ecologist (Scientist or Biologist), you'll be the go-to ecological subject matter expert, guiding critical projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in preparing technical documents, including Ecological Evaluations and Remedial Investigation Reports.
  • Support ecological risk assessments through data interpretation and collaboration with risk assessors.
  • Manage land use and wetlands permitting efforts under NJDEP programs.
  • Maintain strong client and agency relationships while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Experience with NJDEP's Bureau of Environmental Radiation (BER).

Nice to have

  • BS or MS in biology, wetland science, plant ecology, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of consulting experience (8+ preferred) in ecological evaluations, QA/QC, technical writing, and multi-media permitting.
  • Deep knowledge of biological and wetland ecology impact assessment and management issues across industry sectors.
  • Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations
  • NJDEP experience strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • For the Managing Technical Consultant, Ecologist position, the anticipated annual base pay is $90,810 - $124,245 (USD).
  • Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.
  • In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
  • This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
