About the role
- The Central Registry Field Representative will be responsible for gathering and maintaining cancer data from reporting facilities and helping to interpret information from various reports and spreadsheets.
- The incumbent will work with assigned groups of facilities (hospitals, medical offices, or pathology laboratories) to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Experience developing written communications such as procedures, guidance documents, reports, and professional electronic communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of relevant experience
- OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field and Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification
- OR an Associate's degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience
- OR an Associate's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience and ODS certification
- Minimum Qualifications
Nice to have
- Experience using Excel or Access.
- Knowledge of the cancer disease process.
- Experience with quality assurance, including auditing for completeness and accuracy.
- National Cancer Registrar Association Oncology Data Specialist credential.
- Conditions of Employment
- Grant funded position.
- Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
- Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Compensation
- Minimum: $62,514.00 - Maximum: $62,514.00 Annually
- Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions).
