About the role

  • As an Associate Veterinarian with an avian and exotic focus, you'll practice at the top of your license across a rich variety of species.
  • You'll have the mentorship of experienced colleagues, the backing of a Medical Director, and access to our specialist network-including a boarded surgeon, cardiologist, and two traveling internists.
  • Personal assistant checks in/out all your appointments and monitors your task lists all day

Responsibilities

  • You'll work alongside a collaborative team that includes our Customer Experience Team (CET), Technicians (TT), and Veterinary Assistants (VA)-all trained to support multi-species care at a high level.
  • Support for ABVP board pursuit if you're on the path

Requirements

  • 5+ years of clinical experience, with meaningful avian and exotic caseload
  • DEA license & USDA accreditation preferred, not required

Nice to have

  • We stay on schedule so you walk out on time, every time
  • Monday-Friday only.
  • Your weekends are always yours.
  • Four 10-hour days.
  • Always a 3-day weekend, every week
  • Hospital closes 2 hrs/week for rounds, training, and team development
  • 5+ years of clinical experience, with significant avian and exotic caseload
  • ABVP boarded in Avian or Exotic Companion Mammal medicine preferred- or actively working toward it

  • Birds (psittacines, passerines, raptors, and more)

  • Pocket pets (hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, chinchillas)
  • Amphibians
  • No two days look alike.
