About the role

  • Provides care for patients both in the outpatient clinic and the inpatient setting and addresses both acute and chronic issues in managing disease and treatment-related complications.
  • The full-time Advanced Practitioner will split their time in Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy between the clinic and inpatient.
  • Work Hours: Tier II Advanced Practitioners work a combination of weekdays, weekends, and holidays according to scheduling guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • ​ Performs patient care duties in the designated service according to established standards, general and services specific scopes of care, policies and procedures, and patient-specific protocols.
  • Collaborates in the development of clinical research flow sheets by assisting in the collection, analysis and interpretation of historical patient data.
  • Maintains current knowledge as related to the profession and job responsibilities by regularly attending conferences and meetings at the hospital and off-site.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals of the department and institution.

Requirements

  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have passed the certification exam for either Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Master's degree in nursing required
  • Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:

Nice to have

  • Pediatrics and hematology and/or oncology experience preferred
  • Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) is highly preferred

Compensation

  • In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St.
  • Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
  • This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
  • It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
  • A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Tier II) - Inpatient Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.

  • Minimum Education and/or Training:
  • Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Accreditation and Review Commission on Physician Assistant Education (ARC-PA)
  • Certificate of Fitness: State of Tennessee - Division of Health Related Boards (LC: CERTFIT)
  • (LC:PA-TN) Licensed by the state of TN Board of Medical Examiners to practice as a physician assistant.
