About the role
- Position Information: T he Dietary Aide/Cook will assist with production of food for patient menus, daily sanitation, tray line, delivery and pick up of patient trays, cooking and plating of meals for patients, guests and staff.
- The Dietary Aide/Cook reports to the Food Service Manager.
- Plan and prepare production schedule and prepares the foods necessary to fill diet prescriptions during tray service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up patient trays to and from patient care areas.
- Maintain a positive attitude with good energy.
- Create a positive, supportive working atmosphere.
- Maintains confidentiality as defined by hospital policy.
- Demonstrates the ability to accept and implement change
- Demonstrate professional conduct and maintains professional appearance.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
Nice to have
- Previous food service experience, preferred
Compensation
- Automatic 6% salary deferral upon employment
