Responsibilities
- Develop value-add services which integrate with the existing DevOps stack.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, TypeScript, Python, Groovy and Jenkins.
- Our global consulting firm combines creativity and innovative technology to deliver industry-leading digital solutions.
- Through research and development initiatives in our FinLabs we develop solutions for modernization, from Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain to Data Science models, Digital Underwriting, mobile-first applications and more.
- We are looking for a Developer obsessed with efficiency and automation to be part of an autonomous team to deliver services for application teams across Capital Markets.
- An individual who seeks out gaps and challenges to drive efficiency not only for other application teams but also for their own team.
- Build and evolve CI/CD solutions integrated with our existing toolchain using technologies like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TypeScript, and Python.
- Drive adoption of best practices, identify process gaps, and help teams deliver production-grade software more efficiently.
- Partner across teams to modernize DevOps capabilities and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- An engineer mindset, SDLC experience with production class delivery, strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and sense of ownership / drive.
- 2+ years of development experience in one of the following languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, C/C++.
- Experience with application and system design patterns.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM).
Nice to have
- Experience with Elastic Search and Kibana.
- Experience using DevOps CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy.
- Experience with public cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).

Compensation
- With top clients to boast about, Synechron has a global workforce of 16,850+, and has 60 offices in 20 countries within key global markets.
- The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
- In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Halifax, NS is CAD $90k - CAD $100k/year & benefits (see below).
